Learn to Explore Technologies of Tomorrow
Computer Science is an exciting, challenging, and rewarding field to study. The School of Computing offers a wide-range of courses covering all the major areas of computer science, including programming, database systems, networking, computer graphics, gaming, software engineering, machine learning, computer security, robotics, Web application development, artificial intelligence, computer architecture, and bioinformatics. The Computer Science Program provides cutting edge technology for use by our students in classrooms, hands-on-labs, and research labs.
Computer science related jobs, such as software engineering, stand on top of the best-job ranking lists (as reported in Money Magazine year after year), even higher than that of "physician" and "surgeon." These rankings are formed based on average salary, amount of work stress, and number of jobs available. A few of the companies which have recently hired our graduates, are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Intel, Motorola, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Ebay, Boeing, Caterpillar, Lockheed, and State Farm Insurance. There is an excellent placement office (Career Services) on campus which can assist you in finding summer internships and permanent employment upon graduation. The Computer Science Program is equipped to assist you as well through our own annual job fair early in October.
