Hybrid Cars
Every day you may see on TV or hear on the radio or just in casual conversation with someone how the world needs an economy friendly way of transportation besides by foot or on a bike. The answer is simple. Hybrid cars. These unique cars are as economy friendly as transportation can get. These cars are positive in more aspects than they are negative. With gas prices sky-rocketing up to over $4.50 per gallon last summer and currently around $3.00 per gallon now, these cars are a sure way for you to cut back on your spending of gasoline. You may ask, "What makes these cars so fuel efficient?" The answer is electricity. The motors in these cars have been created to run half on gasoline and half on electricity (making them extremely fuel efficient). Also with these cars running half on electricity, there a lot less exhaust fumes being put out from hybrids. This means less and less carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide being spread throughout the air. With less and less carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, the less damage it will do to the ozone layer (which already has been damaged from many other factors). The only negative to most hybrid cars is their compact size. Many people look for bigger, more luxurious cars. These hybrid cars are very small for the most part, and are definitely not luxurious. They are more for show and for fuel efficiency.
